Corporate Controller
The support team at LaScala is driven by Maria and her staff. While managing all accounting and financial responsibilities for the organization, she also oversees much of the Human Resources and hiring areas.
Knowing that you’re partnering with a company that has sound and proven business practices is important to every organization today. Maria brings her analytical mind to the task handling budgets, forecasts, billing, invoicing and expenses, as well as analyzing profit center performance metrics. Data is Maria’s friend, and she loves to look at numbers.
Prior to joining LaScala, Maria worked at Fifth-Third Bank and managed multiple restaurants and their staffs. It’s those years of interacting with all types of individuals that helped to strengthen her HR abilities in addition to her passion for numbers.
Maria, and her husband Chear, who also works at LaScala, have three beautiful daughters and two Siberian Huskies. When not spending time in the office the Hong family loves to be together and travel on new adventures.
